A few weeks ago a very close friend of ours let us on to this amazing event to be held at the W Hotel in Seattle: An open photo shoot with Adam Bouska, now famous for launching the NOH8 Campaign. Adam has photographed famous folks from the entertainment and political world, all with the trademark duct tape and NOH8 paint on their face. All in support of Marriage Equality and the striking down of the discriminatory Proposition 8 passed in California in the 2008 elections.
Ali and I are avid supporters of equality, including equality in marriage, and (quite literally) jumped at the chance to join the ranks of some amazing folks for such an amazing cause. We enjoyed socializing with friends as well as watching amazing little families support something that was deeply personal to them, together. It was an incredibly moving and exciting time for us, and we wanted to share some images from the night with you all.

Just a little slice of goodness from today’s awesome wedding with Kim+Matt at Snoqualmie Falls, WA.
One of the absolute best parts of being a photographer is that, a few career paths aside, you get the incredible opportunity to meet incredible people. Working in the wedding biz the “meeting” goes a step farther, as you are suddenly invited into an intimate, cherished moment with them.
We had the pleasure of meeting Jen and Cory last year for their engagement sesh at SAM Sculpture Garden… way back before we got engaged ourselves. Getting to know these two since then has been such an awesome time, and the awesomeness hit huge proportions on their big day. Frat houses and houses on Lake Washington. A mini pony. Tears and hilarity and a little heat. Tons of dancing and tons of love. Quite the day.
By the time I post this blog there is a very real chance that baby Cali will be born. Lucky for her, Andrea+Bill are basically primed and ready to be one awesome set of parents to their little girl. Catching all the love and silliness the two of them shared together was such an awesome experience I thought I’d share a few of those moments with you all.
The outfit a little bit down there is Cali’s “come home from the hospital” outift (aww) and don’t even get me started on the bunnies. What an awesome family these guys are.

We believe in Love. As wedding photographers it would be hard for us to work in a field where passion, unity, hope and Love abound and capture those wonderful emotions forever, if we didn’t believe in the all-inclusive, boundary-breaking power of capital-L Love. Love cannot be defined by any government or creed, religion or belief system, as it is the strongest and most world-changing experience we can take part in as human beings. Love is eternal, boundless and can be an agent of change in the darkest of days. Furthermore, there is no reason in heaven or on earth that Love can only be experienced in heterosexual relationships, and that is why we are adamant supporters of equality in marriage, encompassing hetero- and same-sex marriage alike.
It’s with ridiculous amounts of pride that we celebrate with our friends the major victory in yesterday’s Prop 8 ruling, which is one step closer to marriage equality in America. To show our support for the couples who have been waiting entirely too long for their display of Love to be legally recognized by their states, we’re offering 50% off all photo or photo+video packages* to the first five same-sex couples that book us for their weddings (or ceremonies if you are in a non-ssm-recognizing state). Yup, the albums are still included.
Catching up on some blogging I came across this set and got all smiley (so I simply MUST share with you all). Babies are always a treat to do a session with for 2 reasons: 1) They generally couldn’t be less interested in your presence/need for photos/desires and 2) Usually pack way more personality then you give them credit for. This guy here was no exception.
