There was a whole lotta love going on today at the Hat ‘n’ Boots (Oxbow Park) in Georgetown. You wouldn’t know it from these pictures, but it was quite the blustery day! Stu and Lori were so easy to shoot and such good sports despite the cold, rainy weather. We were so happy to meet fellow transplants from Arizona (where they will be getting married in a beloved coffee shop). Stay tuned for more beautiful engagement photos of Lori and her “Fusband,” as she calls him. We couldn’t be happier with how the pictures are turning out so far!

As promised, this entry is a follow-up to our previous post about Yuki’s awesome pre-wedding trash-the-dress(ish) session on a cold winters night on Alki Beach. After we got all the shots of her gorgeous gown, we whisked her away to change into something Kyle WAS allowed to see her in before the wedding, and spent some time getting to know these two and capturing as much of their love on camera as possible. Our time with Yuki and Kyle was full of loud laughter as well as soft and intimate moments, and we’re all kinds of thankful to have been trusted with telling just a little bit of their story. Congrats, guys.

Kelly and Kyle found us through King5′s Best of Western Washington where we scored a top 5 spot for best video a few years ago. As much as we adore video (Josh went to school for it, after all) we had very recently decided to focus solely on photography and had finished shooting video indefinitely. But then these two came along, very, VERY excited about video (and our video in particular) and insisted we dust off our gear and come shoot some wicked footage of their ridiculously fun wedding, so we agreed and holy crap we’re glad we did. We couldn’t have asked for a better last video wedding.
We bring our still cameras along for our video shoots so we have content for slideshows and packaging and whatnot, and while purusing the handful of frames we snapped in the midst of filming found a few gems and thought we’d share one. Who knows, maybe we’ll throw a few more up here later.

Jackie and Collin have been married for a year now, and on the anniversary of their big elopement they decided to spend a weekend at the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls, They got ahold of us to snap a few photos to commemorate the big day, but in true Western Washington (and especially Snoqualmie) form, the forecast was all “Rain, Rain, Rain”. Luckily, there was no keeping these two indoors (Jackie inconspicuously snuck a bright green umbrella along for the trip) and after a couple “shots for mom and dad” we ventured out in the rain, Jackie and Collin all kinds of in love. The dynamic between the two of them was absolutely awesome to watch, Collin’s subtle sense of humor never failed to get Jackie laughing, and once Jackie started laughing…well…. you can see how that goes.
Thanks so much for trusting us with your memories, guys. It was a ridiculous pleasure to meet you both.

Yuki | Bridal Session | Alki Beach Trash the Dress | TTD
Yuki (and her awesome fiance Kyle) came down to Alki on a fairly chilly evening and let us snap some photos of their excitedly engaged selves. Amidst their impressive wardrobe change options they brought along the absolutely stunning dress Yuki will be wearing for their fast-approaching wedding. Completely awestruck by how gorgeous the gown was, we sent Kyle to Tully's for coffee and took Yuki out to the sand to let her sport her modeling skills (skills she just so happens to have, might we add) in her fabulous dress. {post is password protected to keep kyle from accidentally stumbling upon these awesome shots before the wedding. the password is "jaylee". and yes, yuki+kyle's e-sesh post is soon to follow}
