Alexis | Portraits

Alexis is a stunning young aspiring model who contacted us for a shoot, and I’m so glad she did. I let her know the style and direction I wanted to go in and she was so easy to work with on it!

I am not one of those people who go around saying “you look like so-and-so, that one actress”, but this girl is such a Mandy Moore look-alike at certain angles (check out the 14th picture down), and wow did she shoot well. We are particularly fond of the beach shots…let us know your favorites! //Aliurban outfitters style photo shoot, young portraits, senior portraits seattle, unique seattle portraits seattle, lookbook photographer seattle, look book photographer seattle, black and white portrait, model portraits seattle, urban model portraits seattle, beautiful photography seattle, wedding photographer seattle

Newlywed Post | Ali's Art Show

We’ve been mighty busy over here the last few weeks, some of us more than others. Ali has been deep in the trenches working on four (huge!) paintings she’ll be showing tomorrow (!!!!) at the 4th Annual Isis: Women Arts Festival in Ballard. The show is 7-10 pm on Saturday and they’ll be hanging through the weekend. If you’re in the area you should totally come hang with us tomorrow night.

Crepes | Newlywed Post

almond butter and strawberry preserve crepe, almond butter crepe, healthy crepe recipe, breakfast in bed, seattle wedding photographer personal post, personal post wedding blog, seattle wedding photographer blog, yummy crepes, easy crepe recipe, tasty crepes, savory crepes, sweet crepes, crepe ideas

This week, we had a lounge-y morning where I made crepes and coffee to surprise Josh with breakfast in bed! Crepes are great because you can put pretty much anything you want into them after seeing what you have in your pantry/fridge, and they taste awe-some. I like sweet crepes better than savory for breakfast, but savory crepes can be really yummy for lunch and dinner. Here are some combinations we tried:

walnut and honey crepes, banana and peanut butter crepe, almond butter and strawberry preserve crepe, crepe combinations, breakfast in bed, married breakfast date, breakfast dates, marriage blog, husband and wife wedding photographer, personal post

Erin + Naomi | Teaser

Erin and Naomi visited Seattle from Nebraska for their engagement session (and made a vacation of it). We had a blast hanging out with them for the day, strolling the Seattle Public Library and downtown area, and grabbing coffee. Naomi is a librarian, so this beautiful location was perfect! We can’t wait to share the rest, and we are already looking forward to their July wedding in Nebraska. //Josh + Ali

Alki Spring | Newlywed Post

Spring has been peeking it’s head out in Seattle this week. Where we live, things get a little bit crazy when the sun appears (everyone comes down to Alki and it’s a little…overwhelming). We enjoyed the sun, longboard rides, drinks with friends, and lots of beach walks filled with coffee and treats. When things went back to the normal Seattle gloom we were kind of happy about having the beach to ourselves again. Ali is getting ready for an art show she will be hanging in at the end of the month, and we are busy editing and making big plans for JayLee (we will share soon). We hope you all got to enjoy some of the sun too! //Josh + Ali

For The Bride: Wedding Week – What To Wear | JayLee M.O.

You already have to worry about finding the perfect dress and coordinating bridesmaids and/or groomsmen. There are many other events and festivities leading up to -and during- the week of your wedding. We had people come in from out of town for the week leading up to the wedding and stayed in a hotel, so it was helpful to get outfits ready ahead of time. From the engagement party to dress fittings to the days you play tourist guide for visiting family, and finally to the honeymoon, here are some Spring-Summer inspired looks for the bride-to-be. We will share more looks for the guys, mother-in-laws, and guests soon! //Ali
