Nortso and Rahber had the idea of shooting at the exact spot they met (the bus stop) and at the tennis court (Rahber is an avid tennis player)! We had such a great time working with these two and can’t wait for their July wedding! (On a side note, the photo of them standing on the edge of the pier with the kayak between them is now on our list of all-time-favorite-engagement shots!) // Josh + Ali

While going through Laura and Bob’s photos to find a Save-the-Date image, we came across this fun shot and had to share. // Josh + Ali

This couple is so amazing. Seriously. We always feel honored to photograph weddings, but with these two we really wanted to bring our A-game. Over the past year, we have developed a really great relationship with them, so being a part of their day felt extra-awesome. There are so many special, beautiful shots from this wedding (you can see another teaser of the couple on our Facebook page), but we really loved these shots of their first dance.
Kristen and Graham, you couldn’t be more right for each other. // Josh + Ali

We are in the thick of wedding and engagement edits, but wanted to take a break to share some superman baby photos. You may have seen Westin before on our website (the adorable drooler) from about 3 years back… and here you will find him again with his new baby brother, Xavier (also adorable, also a drooler). We believe that some of the most meaningful photos come from documenting laughter and love between a family in their natural element, so lifestyle sessions like this one are always a blast. {Photos: Josh, Edits: Ali} //Josh+Ali

Yesterday was my 25th birthday… Josh surprised me with a wonderful dinner at home, candles on a tiramisu cake, a day of shopping and a beautiful succulent plant. It’s funny to think that a year ago, I was sick on my birthday hoping I would get better before our wedding the next day!
I woke up this morning remembering our wedding day, and kind of missing it too. The first year of our marriage has gone by so quickly, and quite opposite of what “they” say… it has not been the hardest year we’ve gone through together. Instead, we have had a ton of fun building our business and more importantly, just enjoying time together. More and more, I am realizing what it will mean to spend my life with this wonderful man and I am just so lucky. I did marry my best friend, the most thoughtful person, the one who makes me laugh the most. I can’t wait to see what the next 60+ years together hold… exciting trips around the world and simple moments of reading next to each other in bed.
Now, we are headed off to Leavenworth for a little getaway…so I better cut this short. //Ali
{The first anniversary is the “paper” year. I made Josh an eye chart print with an important section of our vows that we both coincidentally said. Josh gave me a leather journal to jot down memories from our second year of marriage and a book of poems. Oh, and Rufus is just always there.}

What a beautiful day for photos and a stroll around the lake. There are so many shots from this session that are pure straight-out-of-the-camera-goodness with no real need for editing or touch ups.
His face says it all……and he smiled like this, looking at her, the whole day. //Josh + Ali
