We recently worked on a product shoot with stunning bridal headpieces from Serephine‘s new Spring/Summer 2013 line. I truly love developing concepts for fashion and styled shoots, so it was a lot of fun collaborating with talented designer, Erin Brooks, who really trusted my “girl in the water” and “sky/field” ideas. The stunning makeup and hair was by our good friend Kat Green. Josh was kind enough to assist me with awesome lighting backup on this sunny afternoon. Not to mention the models and vintage gowns were just lovely. What a great team to work with!
A few images from this shoot were featured on Style Unveiled, if you would like to read more about the line. Here are my favorites. //Ali
There were so many personalized elements at this WithinSodo wedding. Japanese drumming. Interactive improv comedy. DVD cover place cards, suiting each guest. An X-Files cake topper. Awe-some. We have had a blast getting to know Glenn and Megan, and were so happy to shoot at WithinSodo again. Stay tuned for yet another WithinSodo wedding in the next few weeks! //Josh + Ali
I’m so lucky to be married to this guy (and work with him every day)… I love you Josh. Happy Birthday! //Ali
We are headed out to PHX to shoot a wedding, but just had to share one quick teaser!
Don’t you love Meg’s face leading up to her first look with David? A quick laugh right as he turns around before seeing his bride-to-be…//Josh+Ali
So, it’s not like we have favorites or anything (*cough*), but when a couple and their family ask us to come sailing with them on a perfect, sunny day, complete with treats and wine… it certainly stands out in the ol’ memory. Not to mention, this couple is absolutely adorable and they were wearing boat shoes.
Thank you again you two, and your family, for taking us out on the water. We were pleasantly surprised that our newbie sea-legs did pretty well, considering we were lugging around cameras. So, naturally, we now want a boat. It’s an understatement to say that this was “fun”… and even more of an understatement to say we are “excited” about their upcoming wedding. We can’t wait! Check out some of our favorites from the session below. //Josh+Ali
These two got hitched at the beautiful Fern Hollow venue. We had a great time in Sequim and are so happy for this awesome couple! //Josh+ Ali
We got together with Meg and David for some engagement photos just a few short weeks before their wedding, so keep an eye out for their wedding teaser on the blog soon! //Josh+Ali
As you may or may not be aware, Josh has been shooting some rock shows as of late (don’t worry wedding/portrait clients, we’re great multitaskers), most of which for a sweet little music blog called Backbeat Seattle. After rubbing elbows with the likes of Linkin Park, Incubus, Slayer and Anthrax, shooting a local(ish) show at The Crocodile was an awesome change of scenery.
If you haven’t listened to these bands, you absolutely must get on that. The Horde and the Harem rock some beautiful indie folk, while Rags & Ribbons (out of PDX) are putting out some of the most sublime music I’ve heard in awhile. Go buy all of the things. Now.
