2012 was a whirlwind year for us! In 2013 you can look forward to our new website/blog launch and seeing a whole lot more of our two new team members, Jeni and Sean. We are super excited to see where the coming year takes us, both with JayLee and life in general. Thank you to those of you who have trusted us to capture important moments in your lives, and hello to all of our new clients and readers!
Here is a teaser from our last wedding of the year! Congrats Alycia and Brian! //Josh+Ali
I've been shooting boudoir lately for holiday gifts, which is always a fun change of pace. Here are some of my favorite shots of one of the beautiful ladies who is kindly allowing me to share her images. //Ali
Kristen and David have a rare and truly sweet love story. They met in the 6th grade and went on their first date in their last year of High School. Eventually, they went off to different colleges, but committed to bussing or driving back and forth to see one another all four years. These two continued their relationship despite the distance and were finally able to live in the same place after graduation. David proposed with a surprise picnic in the park (which inspired their formals, below).
We’ve had such a great time getting to know these two and were so glad to be a part of their laid-back, beautiful wedding day. They were so easy to work with, we actually had time to take a little break before the ceremony and grabbed a drink with them! You can see photos of Kristen and David’s engagement here! //Josh + Ali
We recently had a housewarming/ugly sweater party, with a a pretty fun photo booth set up in our new office. There were prizes for the 3 ugliest sweaters and first place won a mix of x-mas songs. We put some of them in a playlist for you below, along with this year’s family photo!
We hope you have a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends, and apple cider! We are off to see the Nutcracker tonight…yay! //Josh, Ali, and Rufus
We are currently trying to get caught up on the blog, and have tons of weddings and engagements to share with you! You can see a few teasers from this beautiful couple's wedding here and here. //Josh + Ali
We had so much fun shooting Kelsey and Mark that I actually started laughing, remember what we talked about on the day of the shoot, while I was putting this blog together. You may also have heard us mention them a few times on the ol' JayLee Facebook page. Mark owns an awesome local brewery called Two Beers and he officially has us hooked. The pumpkin spice ale...yum. So, yes, be sure to check it out yourselves!
It was great seeing these two interact during photos (and isn't Kelsey's two-tone dress adorable?). We are super excited to shoot their wedding! //Josh+Ali
You may remember these two from their engagement session at their family’s tree farm in Portland. Chris and Breanne are a particularly special couple to us. When we told them that we were unsure whether or not we could shoot their wedding in Arizona because we had a wedding booked the day before in Seattle, they said something along the lines of “we will wait if your flight is late”. Who says that? Who is that awesome and laid back? These guys. So, after eating cookies with their family in Portland and getting to know them a little better, they booked us on the faith that our plane hopefully wouldn’t be late and we would hopefully get there in time. We shot the wedding here in Seattle, got two hours of sleep, and then flew to Flagstaff, were driven to Mormon Lake, and shot this incredible wedding (on time! yay!). It was a crazy weekend and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Chris and Breanne got ready together in an airstream trailer and made the entrance to their ceremony with their guests. Breanne did not wear a traditional wedding dress, and the two dedicated their ceremony and wedding day to their families. They thanked their parents for raising them to be the people they are, and made sure that the event was a celebration of the two families joining together. Our favorite part of the day was during the ceremony when family members gave speeches and made special readings.
Guests spent the weekend in cabins, hanging out with family and the newly married couple in Mormon lake. We also stayed in the lodging nearby and got to enjoy the town a bit while we were there! We were so lucky to be a part of such a unique day. Chris and Breanne, congrats on your marriage and thank you for trusting us to capture it!//Josh+Ali
