This little guy decided to enter the world a bit after his due date and we were pretty sure I would still be in Phoenix shooting a wedding when he was ready. Luckily, the night we got home from the wedding, I got a call saying it was time. Timing really is everything.
I drove in the foggy weather at 3:30am to capture the home birth (not only my first birth session, but the first birth I'd ever witnessed). What ensued was a 10-hour long journey, a pretty darn resilient mama and supportive papa-to-be, a trip from the tub to the hospital, and eventually a little striped hat being placed on baby boy's perfect head. This was a pretty incredible day to experience. Congrats to the beautiful family and thank you for trusting me to capture this time in your life!

One of the raddest parts of living in Seattle is the awesome variety of scenes, weather and environments you can access in just a quick drive. Christina + Matt took us up on our "We really want to shoot in the snow!!" idea, bailed our car out of a few sticky situations, took us on a romp through some uncleared wooded paths, and then met us down the mountain a bit for some snow-less shots. It was a bonding experience, that's for sure, and they rocked their photos like nobody's business (and it was FREEZING!). //Josh+Ali

These two were together 17 years before saying "I Do" and signing a marriage license in front of family and friends. Congrats, Scott and John! We feel so lucky to have been a part of your wedding day. //Josh+Ali
