Sebastian Bowie Danger | Seattle Birth Photography

This little guy decided to enter the world a bit after his due date and we were pretty sure I would still be in Phoenix shooting a wedding when he was ready. Luckily, the night we got home from the wedding, I got a call saying it was time. Timing really is everything.

I drove in the foggy weather at 3:30am to capture the home birth (not only my first birth session, but the first birth I'd ever witnessed). What ensued was a 10-hour long journey, a pretty darn resilient mama and supportive papa-to-be, a trip from the tub to the hospital, and eventually a little striped hat being placed on baby boy's perfect head. This was a pretty incredible day to experience. Congrats to the beautiful family and thank you for trusting me to capture this time in your life!

These moments of your life are now all captured on film. What a great way to preserve your precious memories. The photography really captures your anguish and contentment. Thank you for sharing these heart warming behind the scenes pictures with me. I could feel all your emotions and it brought me right there with you to the birth of your beautiful baby. Enjoy the rest of your life with your bundle of joy. :) )

Ali–These are breathtaking! I am tearing up just looking through them and I don’t even know the sweet family in the photos. What a truly wonderful job you did capturing the special moments: the waiting, anticipation, pain, hard work, seriousness, touch of fear, amazement, relief, and ultimate complete joy and contentment. THIS is childbirth. Beautiful.

These are stunning! We’ve done two birth photography sessions, and it remains one of the most powerful things I’ve ever experienced. You did an amazing job!
