Baby Brooklyn | Seattle Maternity Photographer

classy maternity photographyWe have had the great pleasure of working with Kacie and Mike on their engagement, wedding, and their maternity session. This is the best part of being a photographer- being able to document a family as it grows.
What I loved most about this shoot is that Kacie’s sister was also pregnant when these photos were taken, and their Mother stopped by as well. So, naturally I had to get some photos of them, too! Some of my favorite maternity images I’ve ever taken are the black and white frame series, below. Congrats to Kacie and Mike! //Ali Read more…

Life with Twins | Seattle Family Photographers

seattle family photographer

We are major West Seattleites through-and-through, so it’s always awesome when we get to photograph families in the area (check out their “bars we did” chalk board, below!). To us, when it comes to family photography– the more natural, the better. We had a blast spending time with the Logans at their home, watching their adorable twins interact. Not to mention, photographing babies is so.much.fun! We especially loved the music-themed nursery, with a hand-painted Where the Wild Things Are-inspired mural that they created themselves and “non-baby” decor such as ticket stubs from concerts they’ve been to during their marriage. This is what it’s all about…capturing the essence of a family in their natural environment. You can see more family images here. //Josh+Ali Read more…

Michelle+Michael | Tlaquepaque Sedona Wedding

Western Washington is pretty awesome when it comes to gorgeous, show-stopping scenery, but we don't have anything quite like this in the Pacific Northwest. We have Arizona in our blood but never get tired of passing all the Mesas on the way through Sedona, so Michelle and Michael's wedding was an opportunity we hopped on since we've been gone from the southwest for so long now.

After getting ready and a lovely First Look at Amara Resort we headed to Tlaquepaque, a villa-inspired arts and crafts shopping center that transforms into an incredibly romantic location for a private ceremony. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the whole family got together for a reception under the stars filled with hilarious toasts and tons of dancing. Congrats, guys, and thanks for having us .

Audrey+Nathan | Fremont Engagement Session

Audrey and Nathan's courtship began with late-night chats over brown-bagged craft beer at the Fremont Canal, so this was obviously the right choice of location for their engagement shoot.

When we'd finished trying to chase after their vintage tandem bike, we walked the waterfront and made some sweet photos of the two of them being all kinds of lovey. After dodging the aggressive Seattle commuting bikers and finding great cheesy public art, we wrapped up with the two of them dangling their feet over the water while sipping some delicious Washington hops.

Scott + John | Mercer Island, WA

We have a special place in our hearts for Scott and John. After 17 years together they were finally able to (LEGALLY) get hitched and celebrate their awesome relationship in WA with their friends and family. Not only were they extremely classy and fun, but their guests were a BLAST to photograph with an array of performances (flute-players, singers, pianasts galore). We rarely tear-up during ceremonies (okay, that's not really true) but this one definitely got to us. We felt so grateful to be able to share in their day. //Josh+Ali

Jennifer+Andrew | Palace Ballroom Wedding | Seattle, WA

It was the perfect rainy Seattle day complete with boots and umbrellas! We just loved this intimate, yet elegant wedding at Palace Ballroom. Close friends and family gathered around casually as Jennifer and Andrew said their vows. The couple chose to celebrate in candlelight with a great dinner (Tom Douglas!), an incredible array of desserts, and lots of personal and memorable toasts. //Josh+Ali

Family M | Phoenix Family Session

The plan is tried and true: Go to Arizona for a weekend and make some awesome photos with some awesome people. This session was absolutely no exception.

This little family let me tag along for a day of playtime, seeing the grandparents and hanging around the park, all on a perfectly warm and sunny Phoenix afternoon. From the adorable attitudes of the little ladies to the sweet doting on them by cooing grandparents, we were all smiles the entire time.

Erin+Tom | Blessed Sacrament Wedding

You probably remember Erin and Tom from that engagement session on a freaking sailboat, so as you can imagine we were so excited to see these two again for their big ol' wedding.

After a gorgeous ceremony at Blessed Sacrament in the University District the wedding party party-bussed to St. Demetrios Hall for a huge reception with their family and friends. Congrats, you guys.

Kaylee+Hank | Seattle Engagement Session

Since these two just got hitched a couple weeks ago it's about time to post their engagement session, we suppose.

Kaylee and Hank weren't big fans of the idea of a traditional engagement session, which worked pretty great for us. They are big fans of climbing, though, so they introduced us to the Seattle Bouldering Project and had us follow them up and down some walls to snap some photos of them just being them. This, by the way, was awesome.

After we wrapped on the climbing they got a little fancy and we took Hank's bike out for a quick Bike Mag-style shot and made some pretty stylish frames.
