My younger sister, Jerri. When I look at these pictures I think of so many things…silly things, but important ones that span our lifetime as sisters.
Being woken up on Christmas Eve at 3 a.m. and trying to talk her into sleeping a few more hours (she never would).
Stealing mom’s office supplies to play “teacher” in homemade forts.
Playing H-O-R-S-E in the front yard for hours, eating otter pops and riding our bikes in circles.
Braiding her hair and doing her makeup before special events when she wanted to get “all doiled up” (and before this photo session).
Laying on the floor of our apartment, trying to get the antennas to stand up just right to watch our favorite shows during college.
Going on drives and laughing…always laughing hysterically….whether going to get coffee or taking an impromptu road trip.
Chick flicks, pizza, and dance parties. Ice cream and graham cracker bears on a hard day.
Watching her grow into a fabulous teacher, and now, a mom-to-be.
She is a genuine down-to-earth girl, and forever a kid at heart. She will be a natural mother with her enviable patience, sweet spirit and quick-witted dry humor.
Congrats to Jerri and Vincent! Jerome, we can’t wait to meet you. //Ali
