Seaside, Oregon + Cannon Beach, Oregon + a short stop in Portland= the perfect little getaway. Mid-July, we were lucky enough to have a few free days, so we decided to take a short trip! We stayed at an incredible beach-side guesthouse, ate lots of great food, became master kite flyers, laughed at Rufus as he ran freely on the beach, and had some s'mores at sunset (with the beach all to ourselves!). We came back feeling refreshed and rejuvenated for weddings galore! //Josh+Ali(+Rufus the dog)

Josh has been friends with "little Josh" for years, and I consider him a good friend as well, so it was really fun spending time with him and his awesome girlfriend on such a gorgeous day at one of our favorites places. //Ali+Sean+Josh (this amazing shot was captured by Sean)

My adorable nephew Jerome just turned 5 months old. I’ve been meaning to post these photos for a while. In them, he is only 2.5 weeks old — so tiny and so precious. Now, he is a big boy who is giggling, playing with toys, and lighting up the lives of everyone who knows him. I just love these photos of Jerome, Jerri and Vincent. My sister is truly a natural at motherhood and I’m so proud of her. I miss them all every day. //Ali

This family is so darn cute we can hardly handle it! //Photos by Josh+Ali+Whitney
Remember these two? Katy and John’s wedding day was sunny and beautiful and all-around a wonderful time. It’s just so much fun being around them. Katy is all laughter and happiness. John is on the quiet side, but quick to smile, especially when Katy is around. The way they fit together is so natural.
It was the toasts at this wedding really stuck with us. The people in their lives spoke of the home they’ve built together, the way they support one another, and the individual passions they have for what they do. This is what makes weddings so beautiful to us, and the spirit of what we try to capture in our photos. Of course, as you’ll see, Katy and John really put a lot of thought into the details too. He made the invites based on their engagement story. Guests contributed homemade desserts to the dessert table (what a great idea!). They did a hawaiian lei exchange during the ceremony instead of a ring exchange. Oh, and the ladies rode in on a yellow school bus! We wish you two a life full of happiness! //Josh+Ali Read more…
We are so lucky to work with clients who create weddings that really showcase who they are as a couple. That was definitely the case with Wendy and Noel. This wedding was all THEM. Both are pilots, so it only made sense for the location to be The Museum of Flight (really worth visiting if you haven’t!).
Even more awesome were all of the little “flight” details they included, like lego wedding favors that could be built into planes and little lego-people wearing W+N “wedding capes”. Super cute. Once guests finished building, they placed their plane on the lego airport! Another memorable aspect of the wedding was when Noel serenaded Wendy during their ceremony (and the two of them sang together later at the reception for Rock Band). Overall, it was just a fun, unique, beautiful wedding. You two are perfect for one another and we were so happy to capture your day! We also have to give a shout-out to Wai-Ching- we always love seeing her work on our brides! //Josh+Ali Read more…
