We're all "composition" and "lighting" and "getting the shot", but sometimes the best stuff in the shoots are just out of our control. All of the cute looks they keep shooting each other? Perfect.
We've been doing a good few of these lately and damn, we'd love to do a good few more. Proposals with mini e-sesions are the best, and a pretty great time of your life to have documented. Do it.
"But what if it rains?????"
Bring your umbrella and your pup and let's make some lovely photos.
Everyone is coming to Seattle to do awesome things and let us take pictures of it. Yesterday we shot the elopement of an awesome Texan couple, and today we're posting this awesome proposal plotted all the way from Southern California.
Jared could not strongly enough emphasize how much Jen loved coffee, so I insisted that Monorail Espresso was the only place to do the deed. After a long month of emails, perfecting all the timing and expectations, this excellent surprise TOTALLY took her off guard (as you can tell, by her impressively ever-present smile.
Congrats you guys!!!
Melissa+Jeff are so excellent together and put together an equally excellent wedding day. Tons and tons of DIY and a super-stylish wedding party were just the beginning, and we were pretty thrilled that the insane rain storm of the morning blew over just in time to get these awwwwwesome lake shots AND crazy sunshine during the ceremony.
If you're not familiar with the Post Rock genre, I'd recommend fixing that asap. Start, and end, with This Will Destroy You. In fact, go hit play on New Topia while you check out these shots from their recent show with Cymbals Eat Guitars at Neumos last month.
access and lighting were a bit tricky I decided to try something new and shoot more emotively, matching my technique and creativity to the music rather than the regular strict photojournalism. Hope you dig. //josh
M+K sent us Liz Lemon gifs to celebrate booking us for their wedding, so we knew pretty early that we were gonna get along with them swimmingly. Since they couldn't make the trip back to Seattle before the wedding, we got to shoot their engagement session five days before the wedding (post coming later this week!).
After starting at Top Pot (this is obviously something we're into) we just wandered around upper Queen Anne finding all the awesome nooks and crannies that usual trips to Kerry Park tend to miss. They were cuddly and lovey (wedding week will do that to ya) and braved the January cold like champs. <3
