Jared+Jen | Downtown Seattle Proposal
Everyone is coming to Seattle to do awesome things and let us take pictures of it. Yesterday we shot the elopement of an awesome Texan couple, and today we're posting this awesome proposal plotted all the way from Southern California.
Jared could not strongly enough emphasize how much Jen loved coffee, so I insisted that Monorail Espresso was the only place to do the deed. After a long month of emails, perfecting all the timing and expectations, this excellent surprise TOTALLY took her off guard (as you can tell, by her impressively ever-present smile.

Marie+Kendal | Queen Anne Engagement
M+K sent us Liz Lemon gifs to celebrate booking us for their wedding, so we knew pretty early that we were gonna get along with them swimmingly. Since they couldn't make the trip back to Seattle before the wedding, we got to shoot their engagement session five days before the wedding (post coming later this week!).
After starting at Top Pot (this is obviously something we're into) we just wandered around upper Queen Anne finding all the awesome nooks and crannies that usual trips to Kerry Park tend to miss. They were cuddly and lovey (wedding week will do that to ya) and braved the January cold like champs. <3

Jessica+Nick | Bellevue Woodsy Engagement Session
Sometimes an engagement session calls for tossing on some Patagonia gear and your running shoes and hiking through an awesome park in Bellevue. Jessica+Nick were in town from Eastern Washington and wanted to take a break out in nature and we were totally down.

Megan+Rick | Seattle Center Engagement
Megan+Rick are pretty dang stylish. They put on this whole bit about being so nervous for the shoot and then they show up on this perfectly crisp fall day looking pretty awesome and full of tons of cuddling and lovey moments for us to shoot. Yes, everyone: this is what "nervous" looks like.

Carolyn+Daniel | Capitol Hill Engagement
Why yes, Carolyn+Daniel, we WILL meet you at a trendy Cap Hill bar to kick off your engagement session. This was the right decision for a myriad of reasons, including prepping all four of us for the ridiculous downpour we'd be jockeying with all shoot. Luckily C+D were major troopers, and we were carrying our trusty see-through umbrella. We're crazy excited to see these guys again when they journey back from Chicago for their wedding in March.

Ryan+James | Arboretum Engagement
When we started chatting about e-sesh ideas with Ryan+James they had everything planned out. It was to be a whimsical, adventurous afternoon full of paper crowns and adventurer gear. There would be telescopes and suitcases and lanterns and tons of goofing around. It was basically awesome, and so perfectly timed as the rain started falling right about the time we finished up, giving us just enough time to grab a couple cute umbrella shots before calling it a day.

Laura+Rich | Ballard Engagement Session
Yes, if you've recently acquired a puppy you should absolutely bring it to your engagement session. This was such an excellent day with Laura+Rich. We had puppy time, locks time, and beach time just before the rain came down (we're starting to feel like broken records, saying that all the time. Thanks, Seattle!).
