Club América at Seattle Sounders

Through a pretty awesome last minute bit of happenstance, I got a call from a friend of mine who runs a pretty awesome soccer blog to cover the CONCACAF Champions League quaterfinal at Centurylink Field (er...Xbox Pitch?) last night. Shooting concerts prepped me a bit for the spontaneity and unpredictability of the game, but even then it was a pretty exciting challenge to keep on top of all the action.
The game ended in a 2-2 tie and the second half of the quarters will take place in Mexico City next week.

Wicked Bout | Roller Derby

As promised, here is a bit of the bout Josh shot a little while back for the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds in Seattle. WAY more hardcore than that other league in Seattle, these ladies threw down like no other. You absolutely must take the trip up to Everett and catch their next match (April 1st).

Keep an eye out on the blog in the next few weeks…we have been shooting some pretty awesome portrait and engagement sessions! // Josh + Ali

Our First Mariners Game

So now that we’re hitched and all the wedding craziness has passed (we’ll address all that later, promise) and we’re back to work, but we took a quick break to join some friends for our first ever Mariners game at Safeco Field with a little pre-party at Pyramid Brewery and after-party at The Double Header. Wicked-fun times were had, though between the photo-snappin’ and socializing I can’t say we saw much (or any) of the game.//Josh

Talya Makus – Pool Superstar | Seattle Sport Photographers |

This is Talya. She just so happens to be an awesome pool player. I know this because she can do that ball jumpy thing without tearing holes in the felt, which is a concept quite foreign to me. We had a quick session at Temple Billiards (I recommend the pizza, by the way) to give her some good promo pics for her upcoming tournaments and I made her show me some of those awesome tricks up close.

So keep an eye out for Talya on ESPN {and check out those boots!!!}
